Unraid Stable Release 6.12.2 breaks all your SMB shares regarding Windows 10/11.
Stay with 6.11.5 folks and do a rollback.
When you got trouble connecting to smb shares from a Windows Server. Delete all Unraid users (root should be only one), set all shares to public. Set minimum SMB version to 2.
Then delete all saved web/smb credentials in Windows. Try to conmect via explorer to your \\tower or \\unraidip and when windows prompts for credentials dont put in the root user. Just put in a backslash “\” for username and keep password empty. Voila you can access your shares.
If it still does not work, try set the “AllowInsecureGuestAuth” registry hack. Worked for me. Now i can access my unraid smb shares from windows workstations and servers.
